I got paid yesterday! Very suprised as I thought it was Monday. I got £760 which was good considering it's my first paypack...I'm a week short as I started later in the month plus have NO enhancements (nights, unsocial, overtime etc) so March I will get all that plus this months enhancements including 11 hour overtime (overtime + 30%) Most of my money has gone on bills already but have about £100 for myself. I should of course save it but may pop into town tomorrow as I need to buy cupcake supplies, and might possibly treat myself to some Models Own nail varnish and some of them nice trousers from New Look.
It's my birthday Tuesday so we went out for steak and drinks at lunctime, and I'm well and truly STUFFED. My dad let me off paying back the £350 I borrowed as well. Result! That brings my total amout to save to £970.

poncy blogs (and the good ones!)
You know the blogs, those whose lives are better than yours because they eat organic, fair-trade, homegrown, don't drink, don't smoke, don't let their children play with toys, etc etc.
http://www.persistingstars.com/ - being one of my absolute faves for this of course.
"This little bird died in my hand after flying into the window of our rooftop ‘cabana’. I memorialized it with several drawings & paintings. I have an odd knack for discovering freshly passed birds. Friends often gift me ones they come across."
Is just a little example of what you are in for.
No the blogs I like are real life, funny stories, pictures of messy rooms. So here's a few of my favourite and I hope to find many more alike!
http://www.kellehampton.com/ - the birth story of her daughter, Nella, was posted on a message board I visit. It had me in tears and I always visit now.
http://www.bakerella.com/ - part blog, part recipe book. This is where I learnt to make cake pops and furiously visit back during the process, angry that I can never get my candy melts as smooth as hers.
http://www.misslucyloves.com/ - whatever she posts, I want. Not good when trying to save money and I'm lusting after her latest posts of leggings/beauty products/beautiful clothes.
http://www.grazedknees.com/ - a nice varied blog by a lovely normal girl. Lots of posts about nail design which is always a winner.
http://fromalditoharrods.blogspot.com/ - a money saving blog which I will be visiting OFTEN.
http://amilliondresses.blogspot.com/ - if you like dresses you'll love this blog. I'm not a huge dress lover but it doesn't stop me wanting every dress this girl wears!
http://www.lorien.me/ - and finally, my favourite boy. Cocktails, soirees, late nights and floral shirts. What's not to love?

that awkward first post
Hello! I always hate these awkward first posts and it's taken me a little while to jump on this blogspot bandwagon (always so busy with work and catching up on sleep) and seemingly everyone has left the LJ scene apart from a few communities so here I am...on to the next fad.
I'm not completely sure what my aim in all this is. My current 'goals' in life as such is drop a dress size, I'm currently a 10/12 and weigh dead on 10st so looking to drop a stone ideally. I'd like to lose as much of that before my cousins wedding in April but all of it by the end of August which is when we're all off to Las Vegas and I have to face bikini body hell. Another is to save for Vegas, my current savings being £0.00 as I have just changed jobs and I'm waiting for my first paypack which will be the end of this month. The holiday is costing £871 and then I'd like to save about another £700 on top for spending. So let's call that £1600.
Trouble is I'm not very good at saving. I once saved £1450 for a Chanel bag which is my absolute pride and joy and I can't believe I actually managed but I need something to save FOR to be any good at it, so hopefully this will be a kick up the bum and make me persevere.
So payday arrives this Friday and the diet will start today as well...it is Monday.
Money saved - £0.00/£1600
Weight lost - 0lbs/14lbs
